Central Medical, the foot and ankle division of Life Spine in Huntley, Ill., commercially launched its MTP Plating System today.
Four things to know:
1. Central Medical focuses on developing surgical implants for the treatment of distal extremity pathology.
2. The MTP Plating System consists of several plates, screws and other fixation components, which aim to stabilize bone segments for indications within the foot and ankle.
3. The system is designed to be built for each patient's condition using various structural components and a set of simple instrumentation.
4. The system provides plates that are in low profile and flush fitting screws and features built-in compression slots which improve ease of cross screws placement, self-drilling, self-tapping locking and non-locking screw options.
