The FDA cleared Ortho Clinical Diagnostics' Vitros XT MicroSlides simultaneous testing technology, granting laboratories the ability to run two tests on one slide.
What you should know:
1. Labs can use the clearance to run triglycerides and cholesterol; urea and creatinine; and glucose and calcium tests simultaneously.
2. The clearance will allow labs to run more tests without making an investment in additional analyzers.
3. Ortho Clinical Diagnostics also decreased the testing area required to run each test, which benefits patients with venous access issues.
