Maxx Orthopedics received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Freedom Ultra-Congruent liner, the latest addition to its Freedom Knee System.
Three things to know:
1. The Freedom Ultra-Congruent Liner features a deep anterior patellar cut-out to allow for tendon clearance, a prominent anterior lip designed to prevent subluxation of the femur and a prominent posterior lip to assist in resisting posterior translation of the femur.
2. The liner will feature thickness offers increasing by 1 millimeter increments through the size range.
3. Maxx Medical is the parent company of Maxx Orthopedics, which also manufactures the Libertas Total Hip System.
