Carevature Medical celebrates 1,000th completed procedure with Dreal decompression platform — 5 insights

Spinal Tech

Carevature Medical's Dreal decompression platform was used in 1,000 procedures to date.

What you should know:

1. Dreal technology is a single-use cervical-to-sacrum solution used in both open and minimally-invasive spine indications.

2. Physicians have used the Dreal in more than 10 different types of spinal procedures so far.

3. Of the 1,000 completed procedures more than 33 percent were completed in the U.S.

4. Plano-based Texas Back Institute neurosurgeon Scott Kutz, MD, is one surgeon using the Dreal. He said, "The Carevature Dreal has served me well in many of my minimally invasive decompression procedures. ... Overall, the Dreal provides a thorough decompression, with lower risk of neural injury or spinal destabilization."

5. Carevature aims to expand its bayoneted Dreal MIS versions, to increase visualization while decreasing the need for healthy tissue removal.
