DePuy Synthes releases femoral neck fixation solution: 4 things to know

Spinal Tech

DePuy Synthes launched its Femoral Neck System for femoral neck fractures.

Four things to know:

1. The Femoral Neck System features an articulated blade and screw designed to limit rotational movement on the femoral head.

2. This new system is part of the company’s current hip and femur fracture portfolio, which includes the TFN-ADVANCED Proximal Femoral Nailing System, TRAUMACEM V+ Injectable Bone Cement and the Femoral Recon Nail.

3. The system offers a repeatable approach using a targeted insertion handle to complete all procedural steps after the placement of one central guidewire into the femoral head.

4. The system’s single set for femoral neck fracture fixation is intended to increase hospital standardization and reduce product overlap, ultimately leading to higher set availability, better hospital logistics and potential cost savings.
