Medtronic earns corporate citizenship award: 4 key points

Forbes named Medtronic among the nation's most JUST Companies in 2018.


Here are four things to know:

1. Forbes teams with JUST Capital, a nonprofit focused on important issues to Americans, and ranked 100 companies considered the best corporate citizens. Medtronic ranked No. 61.

2. The rankings considered companies that outperformed peers in fair treatment of employees, job creation, customer treatment and product quality.

3. Medtronic ranked highly for benefits including family care leave, as well as providing a safe workplace and equal opportunity policies, environmental protection and sustainability efforts, community engagement and corporate philanthropy.

4. Medtronic employs 86,000 people worldwide across 150 countries.
