Aurora Spine acquires SI joint implant: 3 details

Aurora Spine received an exclusive license to U.S. patent "Percutaneous sacroiliac joint implant and method for surgically inserting and securing the implant into the sacroiliac joint," in an agreement with SILIF Corp.

Here are three details:

1. The patent allows Aurora Spine to create a new posterior SI joint fixation system.

2. Aurora Spine's EASiFX will feature multiple retaining and bone locking mechanisms. The implant is designed to cause less tissue disruption, decrease operating room time and reduce radiation exposure.

3. Per the agreement, Aurora Spine will issue one million common shares to SILIF at $0.30 per share.
