Joimax moves into bigger US headquarters: 5 things to know

Spinal Tech

German endoscopic minimally invasive spine surgery technology company joimax has moved its U.S. headquarters to a larger facility in Irvine, Calif.

Here are five things to know:

1. Opened Nov. 5, the new facility is 26,000 square feet to accommodate the company's steady growth and ensure all efficiencies are met. "Growth requires space — the continued demand in the U.S. market creates major opportunity which joimax Inc. is addressing with the expansion of its U.S. organization," said Wolfgang Ries, founder and CEO of joimax.

2. The new office includes a training and education center as well as a demonstration and wet lab training room to display joimax systems and products. The company plans to hold its first workshop at the new facility Nov. 30.

3. In addition to clinical and training purposes, the new facility will accommodate corporate and business functions.

4. Through 2019, joimax plans to add clinical support, marketing and sales personnel to its team after reporting a growing demand for endoscopic spine procedures.

5. Founded in 2001, joimax systems include the TESSYS, iLESSYS and CESSYS systems for transforaminal, interlaminar and cervical procedures. The MultiZYTE system can be used for sacroiliac joint and facet pain treatment while two other systems — EndoLIF and Percusys — support surgeons performing minimally invasive endsocopically assisted stabilization.
