Spinal Tech

NuVasive unveiled its TLX 20 degree expandable spinal interbody implant.

Here are five insights:

1. The device is designed for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion procedures and features auto-lock tools that allow surgeons to incrementally customize the oblique lordosis up to 20 degrees.

2. TLX 20 also includes features that contour to a patient's intradiscal space to maintain coronal alignment and achieve sagittal correction.

3. The device includes a single, low-profile instrument to position, expand and post-pack the implant with bone graft.

4. TLX 20 also features increased tapering at the distal tip to help facilitate insertion into a collapsed disc space.

5. With this new interbody device, NuVasive's expandable interbody portfolio comprises three lordotic expandable systems.
