DePuy Synthes' ATTUNE Knee System is associated with reduced length of hospital stay and improved function after six months, according to recent clinical findings.
Here are three things to know.
1. A study presented at the 2nd World Arthroplasty Congress in Rome on Patient-Reported Outcome Measures held between April 19 to 21 found a statistically significant improvement in knee physical function at six months with the ATTUNE Knee compared to the preoperative baseline, using the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score-Physical Function Short Form.
2. The 200-case, multicenter study in the Netherlands found that 80 percent of ATTUNE Knee patient's KOOS-PS improvements were realized by six months, and pain and other PROMS were significantly improved at six weeks compared with the preoperative baseline.
3. A retrospective review of five studies conducted by DePuy Synthes in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Italy and the Netherlands found that in each study, the ATTUNE Knee patients were discharged from the hospital sooner than patients with comparative implants.
