OrthoPediatrics launches new Wrist Fusion Plate System: 5 notes

Spinal Tech

OrthoPediatrics launched its new Wrist Fusion Plate System.

Here are five notes:

1. The new plate system is part of the company's growing PediFrag brand.

2. OrthoPediatrics collaborated with Sydney Children's Hospital Network in Sydney, Australia as well as pediatric orthopedic surgeons.

3. The Wrist Fusion Plate System features plates with two implant lengths, which can accommodate patients with and without a proximal row carpectomy. The low-profile, stainless steel plates minimize plate prominence and reduce soft tissue irritation.

4. This is OrthoPediatrics first pediatric-specific wrist fusion plating system and has gained support from the Accelerating Commercialization Grant from the Australian Government.

5. OrthoPediatrics currently markets 23 surgical systems for use in trauma and deformities, complex spine and ACL reconstruction procedures.
