EIT secures contract with Hospital Corporation of America — 5 insights

Emerging Implant Technologies finalized its contract with HealthTrust regarding an agreement with Hospital Corporation of America.

Here are five insights:


1. All of EIT's interbody products are available to HCA's 177 hospitals and 119 surgery centers.


2. EIT offers products for cervical procedures, anterior lumbar interbody fusions, transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions and posterior lumbar interbody fusions.


3. The company's offerings feature EIT Cellular Titanium, 3-D-printed porous titanium. The material is intended to optimize cell proliferation and bone ingrowth.


4. Ortho Sales Partners handled the contract process for EIT.


5. EIT is also working on an action plan with HCA to determine the economic impact of its technology on fusion rates, implant costs and osteobiologic costs.
