Abbott launched its Proclaim DRG Neurostimulator System.
Here are five points:
1. The system delivers stimulation to the dorsal root ganglion for pain relief in the lower limbs caused by complex regional pain syndrome.
2. The Proclaim DRG uses Bluetooth wireless technology, iOS software and an Apple iPod touch device.
3. It is MR-conditional and recharge-free.
4. Patients with the Proclaim DRG are able to receive MRI scans up to 1.5 Tesla.
5. The ACCURATE study proved DRG stimulation offers better pain relief in patients with CRPS when compared to spinal cord stimulation therapy.
