Mortise Medical received FDA clearance for its LigaMetrics Suture Anchor System.

Here are five takeaways:

1. LigaMetrics Suture Anchor System is designed for connecting to and locking suture tape that is attached either to soft tissue or attached to a conventional suture anchor.

2. The suture system provides surgeons control to achieve optimal stabilization to facilitate healing of injured ligaments and tendons.

3. LigaMetrics can be pared with the company's Metrics Tensioner to apply measured, controlled tension to the repair construct.

4. Once desired tension is achieved, the torque controlled locking feature of LigaMetrics Suture Anchor is activated to lock the suture tape to the anchor, eliminating the need for knot tying.

5. Mortise Medical's suture anchor system is the only knotless suture anchor to provide precise and measured tension control of the suture repair construct.
