NuVasive receives FDA clearance for redesigned Magec system: 5 insights

NuVasive received FDA clearance for its redesigned Magec system including its Reline Small Stature system.

Here are five insights:

 

1. The Magec system uses magnetic technology with adjustable growing rods to treat early onset scoliosis.

 

2. The redesigned system includes features to help provide ease of use for physicians and make surgical outcomes more reproducible.

 

3. NuVasive's Reline Small Statue system is a comprehensive pediatric deformity fixation system, and is the only small stature system compatible with the 5 millimeter Magec rod.

 

4. When paired with the Reline Small Stature system, Magec system's new five millimeter rod diameter is designed to provide optimal growing rod strength.

 

5. NuVasive plans to feature the Magec system and Reline Small Stature system at the Scoliosis Research Society 52nd Annual Meeting and Course.
