Surgeons at Mobile-based Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic and Mobile-based Springhill Hospital are setting a precedent with their use of Stryker's Mako Robotic Arm device, according to FOX10.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. AOC surgeons are the only physicians in Mobile using the Mako Robotic Arm.

 

2. Mobile-based Springhill Hospital is the only area hospital using the device.


    
3. The technology makes surgery more efficient and less invasive.
