Here are device company mergers, acquisitions and agreements that took place in April:

Toronto, Canada-based 7D Surgical entered into exclusive sales representative agreements with St. Clair Shores, Mich.-based Surgical One and Coral Springs, Fla.-based DB Surgical.

 

Amendia continued its strategic partnership with Global Spine Outreach, a charity committed to training spine surgeons in developing countries.

 

Johnson & Johnson was awarded a contract to supply the U.S. Defense Department with orthopedic devices.

 

Vertebral Technologies, Inc. partnered with Medikon to distribute its InterFuse products in Turkey.

 

Device benefit management company IPG partnered with DJO Global and the company's surgical division to promote value-based care for orthopedic procedures.

 

Marietta, Ga.-based Amendia acquired Carlsbad, Calif.-based Spinal Elements.

 

Dublin, Ireland-based Medtronic sold various monitoring and recovery products to Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health to promote better company portfolio management.

 

Orthopedic device company DePuy Synthes acquired Tissue Regeneration System's 3-D technology to boost its trauma platform and better treat bone defects.
