Leesburg, Va.-based K2M will showcase its Balance ACS platform at the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery Annual Meeting, held from April 12 to 14 in Boca Raton, Fla.

Here are four notes:

1. The Balance ACS platform analyzes each vertebral segment of the spine by leveraging a 360-degree approach to the axial, coronal and sagittal planes.

2. The technology offers an outcome of Total Body Balance.

3. The Balance ACS system offers the following:

• Insurance documentation tool displaying payer- and patient-specific requirements
• Surgical image measuring technology to help with planning and preoperative implant selection
• 3-D-printed anatomical models of patient anatomy
• A data collection and operative reporting system for measuring patient quality metrics

4. K2M also plans to offer an interactive workshop, "Techniques to Optimize Spinal Balance," on April 12. Paul Kraemer, MD, of Indiana Spine Group, will facilitate the discussion.
