Silverback Therapeutics, a startup headed by Peter Thompson, MD, has raised $10 million in venture funding, GeekWire reports.
Here are four observations:
1. Dr. Thompson, a Seattle-based University of Washington neurosurgery professor, filed the information with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Feb. 6, 2017, revealing most of the funding occurred in 2016.
2. This funding round is a part of the startup's larger $60 million round goal.
3. Dr. Thompson has not disclosed any information on the company, including its purpose, products or co-founder.
4. Dr. Peterson earned his medical degree from Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School in Providence, R.I.
