The collaborative efforts of Toronto-based ReMAP O7 have produced the 7D image guidance system for spine surgeries.

Here are five details:

 

1. Made up of 7D Surgical, Celestica, Ryerson University and Sunnybrook Research Institute — all of which are based in Toronto — the ReMAP O7 team formed the technologies necessary for their image-guided surgery solution.

 

2. The system is expected make surgeons' work simpler and quicker.

 

3. The 7D surgical machine received both FDA 510(k) and Health Canada MDL clearance.

 

4. ReMAP O7 is in the process of creating several additional advanced optical imaging technologies.

 

5. ReMAP networks and engages with 38 Canadian labs and manufacturing facilities in order to accelerate the creation of innovative products.
