Bioventus names Andrew McCartney new managing director, international for EMEA: 6 key points

Durham, N.C.-based Bioventus named Andrew McCartney the new managing director, international for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Here are six key points:

 

1. Mr. McCartney will oversee the company's EMEA business.

 

2. He will especially focus on expanding the Bioventus Active Healing Therapies portfolio within the EMEA region.

 

3. Mr. McCartney will be responsible for the company's international headquarters in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.

 

4. Previously working at Stryker, Mr. McCartney has served in various sales, marketing and business unit management leadership positions.

 

5. Mr. McCartney started his two-decade career in the medical device industry working with U.K.-based distributors.

 

6. He holds a bachelor of accountancy degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
