Pinnacle Spine Group launches InFill V2 for lateral spine surgery: 3 things to know

Spinal Tech

Pinnacle Spine Group launched its InFill V2 Lateral Interbody Device.

Here's what you should know.

1. The new InFill features a larger, single graft chamber with a large-load bearing surface area. It is used to restore and maintain disc height while forming a robust fusion column.

2. After research showed that less than 50 percent of the disc area in a unilateral posterior lumbar interbody fusion procedure is actually grafted, Pinnacle took the opportunity to develop a larger interbody fusion system "designed to deliver optimized graft-to-endplate contact," Pinnacle President Zach Sowell said.

3. Additional features of the InFill include:

  • An access port to secure the implant to the inserter. It ensures controlled device placement and allows for in situ delivery of bone graft volume.
  • The device has a bulleted nose to ease insertion and ensure precise placement.
  • Implant length varies from 30 mm to 60 mm, with heights of 8 mm to 14 mm, widths of 18 mm, 21 mm and 24 mm and lordotic angles of 0 degrees, 7 degrees, 10 degrees and 13 degrees.
  • Comprehensive instrumentation and multiple retractor options.
