Amendia is expanding its manufacturing facility in Marietta, Ga.

1. The expansion aims to increase the company's manufacturing capabilities, grow its ability to service and train surgeon customers and increase the research and development efforts.
2. The expansion is one of several strategic efforts under its newly appointed president and CEO Chris Fair.
3. The company named Chris Fair CEO just last month.
4. In May, Kohlberg & Company acquired majority ownership of Amendia. The firm plans to support Amendia's growth initiatives with its $1.6 billion private equity fund.
5. In June, Amendia launched its Ceres-C Stand-alone Cervical Interbody device.
