Warsaw, Ind.-based AcceLinx seeks to boost development of emerging medical device technologies and companies through its new program, according to Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly.

1. AcceLinx, a medical device business accelerator, will work with selected entrepreneurs with orthopedic, spinal and biologics medical ventures to help push them through the innovation process faster.
2. Businesses will rely on AcceLinx's in-house staff or its network of experts to receive support and resources during their development stages.
3. The new group will initially open in the offices of OrthoWorx, a community-based initiative in Warsaw, Ind., that works with the orthopedic industry, other life sciences partners and regional stakeholders.
4. The Indiana Economic Development offered up to $1.2 million in funding over six years to help get AcceLinx started. The city of Warsaw also pledged $500,000.
