1. Bioness provides innovative rehabilitation solutions enhance functional and quality of life for individuals suffering from pain, central nervous system disorder and orthopedic injuries.

 

2. The company's lower extremity FES devices proved to deliver a wealth of benefits to patients with gait disturbances due to central nervous system pathologies such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.

 

3. The survival rate for those with strokes are improving, therefore requiring a greater demand for evidence-based medical devices to facilitate rehabilitation outcomes. Bioness's lower extremity FES devices such as the L300 Foot Drop System and the L300 Plus System help patients with central nervous system pathologies.

 

4. The award is based on advanced technology, and more importantly, on its ability to deliver important functional benefits to patients.

 

5. Bioness's product results have been validated by clinical research. Patients using the L300 Foot Drop system experienced a 19 percent increase in gait speed after the first time using the device and a 33 percent increase after 30 weeks.

 

6. Approximately 90 percent of subjects were enthused about using the L300 and claimed it was more useful than other devices to asset gait.
