Dr. David Navid performs 1st MAKOplasty at Tomball Regional Medical Center

David Navid, DO, performed the first MAKOplasty robotic partial knee replacement at Tomball Regional Medical Center, according to a report from The Potpourri.

The robotic knee replacement system assists surgeons for a more precise and reproducible procedure. Dr. Navid mentioned the robotic surgery could provide smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays, precise implant placement and implant longevity.

 

Dr. Navid is an orthopedic and sports medicine physician with North Houston Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He has a special interest in foot and ankle injuries, deformities, sports injuries, trauma and joint replacement.

 

He completed his fellowship at The Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
