Zimmer Holdings, a manufacturer of musculoskeletal care products, has appointed Christopher B. Begley, former chairman and CEO of Hospira, to its board of directors. Mr. Begley served as executive chairman of Hospira from May 2007 until January 2012 and as Hospira's CEO from April 2004 to March 2011. He served in various positions with Abbott between 1986 and 2004, most recently as senior vice president of Abbott's hospital products division. Mr. Begley currently serves as non-executive chairman of the board of Hillshire Brands Company and as a director of DeVry.
