Orthopedic and spine device manufacturer Salient Surgical Technologies has announced the filing of a lawsuit against Bovie Medical for patent infringement.
Joined with Portsmouth, N.H.-based Salient in the lawsuit is Medtronic, which licensed the patent in question to Salient.
The lawsuit claims Clearwater, Fla.-based Bovie's manufacture, sale and use of Saline Enhanced Electrosurgical Resection violates the Medtronic patent.
