Dr. Ronnie Mimran a 2018 Bay Area Top Doctor for 4th year: 6 highlights

San Francisco Magazine named neurosurgeon Ronnie Mimran, MD, to its 2018 Bay Area's Top Doctors list.

Here are six highlights.

1. This honor represents Dr. Mimran's fourth consecutive appearance on the list.

2. Castle Connolly Medical, who compiles the list, assessed 930 nominees and narrowed it down to 554.

3. He treats patients at Danville, Calif.-based Pacific Brain & Spine.

4. Board-certified Dr. Mimran has been in practice for 13 years, specializing in brain and spine. He leverages minimally invasive techniques to treat degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis, among other conditions.

5. Dr. Mimran devotes time to teaching as well; he's taught 200-plus courses on minimally invasive and navigated spine surgery.

6. He completed his clinical fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at Gainesville-based University of Florida.
