James B. Billys, MD, has joined Melbourne, Fla.-based First Choice Healthcare Solutions' The B.A.C.K. Center.

Here are four things to know:



1. Dr. Billys will specialize in minimally invasive spine surgery at TBC.



2. Previously, Dr. Billys specializing in spine disorders and hand surgery at Tampa-based Florida Orthopaedic Institute. He also led the Tampa-based Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education for the past 12 years.



3. Dr. Billys is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.



4. First Choice vice president of medical operations Kris Jones said, "As a prolific and globally respected physician, surgeon and researcher who shares our devotion to clinical excellence and human compassion, he is sure to have a marked, positive impact on the lives and care of our patients."
