Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Ken Saer, MD, passed away at age 94.

Robert Cuttica, MD, a former orthopedic surgeon at Youngstown (Ohio) Orthopedic Associates, has died at 82, according to a Nov. 8 report from ABC affiliate WKBN.

Outpatient migration and disc replacements will play an increased role in spine surgery's future, Dean Perfetti, MD, said.

Four-level cervical disc replacement is rare, but a small study published in the October issue of the International Journal of Spine Surgery found the procedure is safe and effective.
