OrthAlign hits clinical milestone: 2k HipAlign cases performed

Imaging

OrthAlign achieved a clinical milestone with its 2,000th HipAlign case.

Here are three things to know:

1. HipAlign is a handheld navigation device that was commercially launched for direct anterior total hip replacement in early 2018.

2. HipAlign is designed to act as a surgical GPS and uses micro-electromechanical sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes to guide hip replacement surgery.

3. It does not require a preoperative CT scan. Surgeons collect anatomic data intraoperatively with HipAlign.
