South Korean medical imaging device manufacturer acquires Medlink Imaging — 3 insights

South Korean medical imaging device manufacturer Vieworks Co. acquired Pine Brook, N.J.-based Medlink Imaging, according to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Here are three things you should know:

 

1. Medlink Imaging is a diagnostic imaging technology distributor. Viework acquired the company to expand its presence in the American medical imaging market.

 

2. Viework will use Medlink Imaging's nationwide dealer network of nearly 400 dealers to bolster its retrofit business in the U.S., which involves digitalizing analog X-ray films.

 

3. Viework produces X-ray medical imaging devices and industrial scan cameras. The company is 20 years old and registered revenue of $117.3 billion in 2016.
