Sonavex receives FDA clearance for EchoMark soft tissue markers: 3 things to know

Sonavex received FDA 510(k) clearance for its EchoMark and EchoMark Low Profile soft tissue markers.

Here are three things to know:

1. Sonavex is a point-of-care imaging technology company. EchoMark is the first product in Sonavex's new technology portfolio to receive FDA clearance.

2. EchoMark and EchoMark LP are echogenic, resorbable polymeric implants used for marking soft tissue sites in surgical patients. EchoMark's ultrasound reflective properties and 3D shape are engineered to allow surgeons to mark surgical sites for clear ultrasound visualization during follow-up evaluations.

3. Sonavex recently closed a series A financing round and was awarded a Small Business Innovation Research Phase II supplement grant from the National Science Foundation.
