Healthcare solutions provider Summit Products Group, based in Dallas, has launched a strategic partnership with regenerative medicine developer NovaBone Products.
Summit focuses on cultivating a portfolio of products engineered for surgical applications, identifying breakthrough products and supporting their path to market, according to a May 15 news release sent to Becker’s.
It helps companies like NovaBone with every step in the to-market process, from FDA approvals to integrated logistics and field execution.
Through Summit’s agreement with NovaBone, Summit will serve as an exclusive distributor of NovaForm Wound Matrix, NovaBone’s bioglass and collagen-based wound dressing, which recently received FDA clearance.
The dressing is used for management of partial and full-thickness wounds, such as pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers and surgical wounds. The dressing also maintains an environment to support the body’s natural healing process.
NovaBone first launched in 2002 and has developed bioactive technology platforms that result in accelerated bone growth. Its bone-graft substitute is used for the repair of osseous defects throughout the skeletal system, and has seen more than a million clinical applications over the last decade.
