Orthopedic leader named to board of Mayo Clinic spinoff

Rion, a regenerative medicine company, named five leaders to its advisory board, according to a Sept. 25 news release.

The board includes Steven Moran, MD, an orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery professor at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. His expertise includes wrist surgery, congenital hand surgery, and microsurgical upper extremity reconstruction.

The other members appointed include James Peake, MD; Raquel Bono, MD; Andrew Omidvar, PhD, and Steve Reed, PhD.

Rion is based in Rochester and was born out of Mayo Clinic. It focuses on proprietary biologics for orthopedics, cardiology and wound healing.
