MTF Biologics and Academy Medical partnered to bring human allograft tissues to Veteran Affairs medical centers across the U.S.

Here are four things to know:

1. As a result of the partnership, Academy Medical and MTF Biologics now offer a portfolio of bone, dermis, placenta and other tissues to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

2. MTF Biologics, also known as the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, offers general orthopedic tissue forms, bone void fillers and a platelet-rich plasma system, among other biologics-based offerings.

3. Academy Medical is a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business that provides medical products, tissues and devices to government agencies.

4. MTF Biologics is the world’s largest tissue bank. It has provided more than eight million allografts for transplantation.
