AlloSource adds allograft for spine, orthopedics

Biologics

AlloSource added the AlloFuse microfibers demineralized bone allograft to its product line.

AlloFuse is designed for spine and orthopedic procedures and is made of 100 percent demineralized cortical bone, according to a June 28 news release. It can be formed into tightly compact shapes to fill small boney voids and provides an osteoconductive scaffold with osteoinductive potential to support bone fusion.

"Based on surgeon feedback, we realized there was a need for shorter demineralized bone fibers to answer an unmet need," AlloSource Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Whitten said in the release. "Maximizing the gift of tissue donation, we developed Micro Fibers that are moldable and formable, allowing surgeons to maintain desired shapes, especially in small spaces."
