Bone Solutions, an orthopedic devicemaker, launched the Mg Osteoinject bone void filler.
It is the first injectable bone void filler in the U.S. to incorporate magnesium, and it isdesigned to treat insufficiency and microfractures, according to a Jan. 25 news release. Magnesium aids the bone's absorption and regulation of calcium. Mg Osteoinject is resorbable and can assimilate back into the body during the healing process.
The injectable bone void filler is being distributed to healthcare facilities in the U.S., according to the release.
