Dr. Mohamad Khazaei recognized for stem cell research on spinal cord injuries

2. Dr. Khazaei’s winning paper is titled “Human Spinal Oligodendrogenic Neural Progenitor Cells Promote Functional Recovery After Spinal Cord Injury by Axonal Remyelination Following Thoracic Spinal Cord Injury.”

3. In the paper, researchers explored the use of neurons and oligodendrocytes to achieve better functional recovery for spinal cord injury.
