Legacy was processed by MTF Biologics and has a putty-like consistency, according to an Oct. 13 news release from Orthofix. It can be used as an extender with autograft, allograft or bone marrow aspirate.

“Legacy DBM provides a cost-effective option, without compromising clinical experience or the handling needed in a bone matrix,” Dr. Daniels said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
