He has more than 25 years of research in developing and performing intradiscal procedures and is one of the few physicians certified to perform the Discseel procedure, according to a May 22 news release.

The procedure injects fibrin into discs to seal them and promote healing in the disc wall and within the disc. Other biologic therapies can be used during the procedure to enhance healing.

More than 7,000 Discseel procedures have been performed.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
