ChitogenX’s name change was approved in July, and the company will appear on market tickers under a new symbol Sept. 12, according to a news release.
“We evaluated our Company name in light of the vast potential clinical and commercial applications for our proprietary technology platform, and it was obvious that these applications were much broader than just the orthopedic field the previous corporate name was inferring to,” CEO Philippe Deschamps said in the release. “We opted for a new company name that better represented our identity and expanded possibilities.”
