1. Dr. de Bruijn founded Xpand Biotechnology in 2005 and remained CEO of Xpand after Kuros acquired the company in 2017.
2. In 2007, he founded Progentix Orthobiology. The company signed an exclusive development agreement with NuVasive in 2009 for a family of calcium phosphate synthetic bone substitutes.
3. Dr. de Bruijin has more than 20 years of experience in academia and the life sciences industry. He has published 165 papers in peer-reviewed journals and invented 24 patent families. He is a scientific editor and reviewer for several international biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine journals.
