Healthgrades has named the top 100 hospitals for orthopedic surgery in 2023, including four hospitals in South Carolina. 

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Corewell Health has opened a new spine center on the Blodgett Hospital campus in East Grand Rapids. 

About 3 percent of physician assistants are currently practicing in orthopedics, according to Medscape's 2023 "Physician Assistant Compensation" report, down from 10 percent last year.
