Smaller Majority of Americans Still Think Health Reform Won’t Pass

A new survey found that 60 percent of Americans don’t think health reform will pass this year, compared with 67 percent just after Senate Democrats lost their filibuster-proof majority in a Massachusetts election last month, according to a report by the New York Times.

But the new poll results, from the Pew Research Center, continue to show a dramatic shift from before the Massachusetts election, when 57 percent thought the legislation would pass this year and 33 percent thought it wouldn’t.
