Dr. Slotkin is an active researcher and is currently focusing on spinal cord injuries, neural regeneration and nanotechnology. He has been published in peer-reviewed publications and co-edited a two volume publication on spine surgery. Dr. Slotkin is also a member of the scientific advisory board of InVivo Therapeutics Corporation.
He completed medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and his residency in neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. He completed a fellowship in complex spinal surgery with Eric Woodard, MD.
Dr. Slotkin is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
