Methodist Center in Texas Adds Human Performance Lab

Methodist Center for Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Willowbrook in Houston, Texas, has added a Human Performance Lab on the Methodist Willowbrook Hospital campus.

Scott Rand, MD, board certified primary care sports medicine physician at Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and his specialized Sports Health team launched the lab, which caters to endurance athletes and bariatric patients and is the first of its kind in northwest Houston. The lab offers three primary tests: resting metabolic rate and body composition analysis; VO2 max with body composition and VO2 max with estimated lactate threshold.
