Dr. Tolhurst is an orthopedic surgeon whose subspecialty is spine surgery.
He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a spine surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
In 2006, Dr. Tolhurst received the Franklin McLean Research Award for the most meritorious research in the medical field at the Pritzker School of Medicine.
