Study: Alexander Technique Relieves Low Back Pain

New research from the UWE Bristol found the Alexander Technique successful for chronic pain patients when performed in outpatient clinics, according to a Nursing Times report.

The study covered 43 chronic or recurrent pain patients who were given six one-to-one Alexander Technique sessions for six consecutive weeks between June 2010 and May 2011. The technique was found to be both clinically and cost effective for low back pain in primary care, according to the report.
